We start from a conservative percentage of your dog's weight per day — the same approach established raw-feeding companies use (about 2–3% for adult maintenance), adjusted for life stage and activity. Growing puppies eat a higher share.

We present it as a range, not a single number — real dogs vary, and a starting range is more honest than false precision.

It's a starting point you fine-tune. Watch your dog's body condition over 2–4 weeks and adjust by about 10% as needed. For anything medical, your veterinarian is the right call.
