Knowing how long thawed raw dog food lasts in the refrigerator is one of the most practical pieces of information for any raw feeder. Here is what you need to know.
Thawed raw dog food kept in the refrigerator at a consistent temperature of 4 degrees Celsius or below should be used within 3 to 4 days. This is the same guideline that applies to raw meat stored for human consumption.

Raw meat, even when kept cold, will gradually develop bacterial growth over time. The refrigerator slows this process significantly compared to room temperature, but it does not stop it entirely. The 3 to 4 day guideline represents the window within which the food remains in good condition and safe to serve.
Thawed raw dog food that has been in the fridge too long may develop an off smell that is noticeably different from the normal smell of raw meat. If the food smells wrong, it is better to discard it than serve it.
